patriot.
“If ‘they’ were smart enough they should have
considered all the options.” He hadn’t meant
to exactly say that out loud but once it was
he left it out in the open. His hands clench
slightly at the other’s nonchalance about the
situation. Now he’s not a saint himself when
it comes to a job but he feels a bit of uneasiness
about this.“Dull? Ha… right. Wouldn’t want you to get bored.”
Though his tone remained even, there was a
clear disgust on his face. Again he’s not unfamiliar
to the hired big guns like Hulkling but he’s never
been sent after one. “My guys sent me here to
see what was up. I’ve seen all I had to.” As well
as get some information of Hulkling. “You going to
clean this up or do you usually have another guy
to come do it?”
The people that hired him were powerful. What they
decided to do with that power wasn’t any of his concern.
If they wanted someone dead instead of ruining their
lives, then that’s what happened. And they got the best
person for the job to do it. Over the years he’s proved
more than useful and has never talked back or asked
any more than what he needed to know to complete the
job. That was how this business worked, and it paid very
well.
❝ Did your guys also tell you to not interfere or were you
just enjoying the show? ❞ A smirk tugged at the lips of a
previously expressionless face. A morbid sort of teasing
but that was his sense of humor. ❝ I have someone who
meets me and takes the body. Anything else you want to
know? ❞
